David B., almost seven years old, came to me for processing earlier this year. Beginning with the fifth hour, he did some drawings of himself for me. They’re so beautifully illustrative, I wanted to see them published here, together with his comments on the drawings.

David began with an extreme limp, the left leg noticeably smaller and twisted, which radiated the rotations throughout the body (pelvis and shoulder girdles). In my last photograph of David, the horizontal balance lines are established and show as ease of the body in standing. In the drawings, notice the transformation of the amoeba-like structure (at that time, David actually did fall over all the time) to the emergence of a body with limbs and well-differentiated parts.
