ABSTRACT In this article, Pedro Prado, PhD, brings to the fore the importance of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) for Rolfing theory and practice. The psychobiologic perspective of the work expands its assessment tools by making use of the work of Peter Levine, PhD (Somatic Experiencing®) and Stephen Porges, PhD (polyvagal theory). Prado presents these theories and makes correlations that can be useful for the practical application of SI.

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the Rolfing Structural Integration (SI) community in different ways. In this article we interview a number of people for their perspectives: (1) Christina Howe, the Executive Director and Chief Academic Officer of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® (DIRI); (2) Pedro Prado, a founding member of Brazilian Rolfing Association and faculty member; (3) Naomi Wynter- Vincent, the European Editor for this journal, who has a Rolfing practice based in London, UK; and (4) Jeanne Vadnais, an Advanced Rolfer based in Seattle, which faced one of the first U.S. COVID-19 outbreaks.Interview with Christina Howe, DIRI Executive Director/Chief Academic Officer

ABSTRACT The field of Rolfing® Structural Integration (SI) and Rolf Movement® is diverse and our thought processes and our work stimulated by many varied interests. Here some of our faculty share what currently excites them in their practices and their teaching.

Caspari, of São Paulo, Brazil, was for many years a key figure in the Rolfing® Structural Integration community worldwide. Her contributions, through her teaching and her writing, are enormous. Here she is remembered by two colleagues. We also share a selected bibliography of her written contributions.

ABSTRACT The late Rosemary Feitis was an early and influential publicist of Rolfing Structural Integration (SI). She was instrumental in getting Ida Rolf’s books published, in the management of the early school, and in the foundation of the Rolf Institute®. She was also a Rolfing practitioner, homeopath, osteopath, and author. We are indebted to her – and we will miss her.
